XtraOpen Asset Maintenance and Management support maintenance specialists and managers with leading edge decision support technology. It provides them with enterprise wide maintenance and diagnostic program that is integrated into existing SAP R/3 ERP systems. XtraOpen provides scalable, cost saving solutions to improve conditional awareness of critical enterprise wide assets.
XtraOpen is a SAP integration tool that provides enterprise life-cycle asset management that unifies common MIMOSA identifiers with SAP native system identifiers. The application is a middleware product that enables the exchange of Operations & Maintenance information to optimize assets, performance, and operations management. Production Systems that are not MIMOSA compliant will now be able to work together through registry mapping of primary keys to MIMOSA objects through drag-and-relate association.
Created on SAP® NetWeaver™, XtraOpen leverages the industry-driven OpenO&M™ information standards for asset and functional segment modeling and tracing. XtraOpen is delivered with off-the-shelf functionality that eliminates expensive custom development and reduces maintenance overhead.
XtraOpen will give enterprise managers and maintenance specialist access to critical decision support information in a condition-based maintenance environment.
XtraOpen uses Glassfish, an open source application server which implements all the latest Java EE 5 technologies. The Java EE 5 platform includes the latest versions of technologies like JavaServer Pages, JavaServer Faces, Servlets, Enterprise JavaBeans, Web Services, and Java Architecture for XML Binding. This enables the XEA server to be deployed on a variety of Operating Systems which include Microsoft Windows XP, Ubuntu Linux, SUSE Linux, and many others.
The XtraOpen Enterprise Application (XEA) uses the latest version of MIMOSA's OSA-EAI Common Relational Information Schema (CRIS). Working with CRIS is done through the Tech-XML Services Client/Server interface and XtraOpen currently implements the technology types for asset registry management and work action management. The use of the standards Tech XML-Services interface allows the client implementation in multiple technologies. A client interface to wrap an existing legacy application can be completed in .NET, JAVA, Python, PHP and any other language that support industry standard web services.
Allows retrieval of "as-designed" segment hierarchical breakdown of facility, process, and machine systems, along with the "as-installed" asset information. Also allows access to name plate and image data on individual assets and models, including component part breakdowns. |
Allows the creation and audit tracking of a new work request in a work management system for a service segment or a serialized asset. Allows the retrieval of work orders and work order steps, and actual work completed information.. Also allows the retrieval of pre-planned work packages ("solution packages"). |
The XtraOpen Mimosa Mapper (XMM) is a service provided by the XEA to aid in mapping assets in EAM systems like SAP, Datastream, and Maximo, with assets defined in the CRIS. Interfacing with the MM is done through industry standard web services allowing cross-platform integration.
The SAP XI Web Service Client, built on the Web Service Client Framework, is another service provided by the XEA. This module and its software development kit (SDK) provide easy and standard integration between SAP XI and MIMOSA.
