Enables centralized rule capability with web based viewers
The rising cost of employees has forced many companies to reduce onsite personnel and utilize corporate locations to perform analysis that has historically been done at the plant level. This forces the onsite staff to focus on alarming and immediate actions which can consume nearly 100% of available time. Because of this, centralized engineering analysis is more important than ever to ensure plant reliability and availability does not suffer.
OstiaEdge™ CE provides companies the ability to create centralized rule sets to perform “fleet level” analysis enabling comparison of machine health from unit to unit or plant to plant. When desired, a vector based Anomaly Detection Engine (ADE) can be employed to help engineers and analysts predict when machine behavior strays from its normal operational envelope. The ADE can be employed alone or in concert with other crisp rules to ensure machine behavior is monitored to your exact criteria. The flexibility of OstiaEdge™ CE allows the rule sets to be run on a schedule or upon receipt of the data as it is transferred from each asset or plant. OstiaEdge™ CE employs Open System Architecture for easy integration and interoperability through the use of MIMOSA OSA-EAI Web Services, with installed Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), SCADA systems, or centralized (corporate located) enterprise historian systems. The analytical results can be viewed utilizing the OstiaEdge™ Portal, or since the data is stored in a MIMOSA CRIS 3.2 compatible relational database, results can be accessed and displayed using many off the shelf reporting tools. The OstiaEdge™ Portal reports provide clear and immediate machinery health status visuals by displaying faults in green, yellow, or red depending on condition. They enable users to drill into individual machine faults and subsequent trends of supporting evidence, thus providing a high level plant overview to detailed trends with a few simple mouse clicks.
